Would you go swimming in this pool???

This is the Devil's Pool, one of the more interesting places to swim at the Victoria Falls in Zambia, Africa. In the months of September thru December the water is actually low enough so that you can swim at the top of the falls without risking going over; although there always is a risk if you go too far.

It's one of my vacation goals I would love to go swimming there. I think it would be fun!

Somebody died.

I think I'd take a pass on this, in spite of all the other crazy stuff I've done.

.
An easy hike and absolutely beautiful (I love falling water). Though a mere trickle when
compared to somewhere like Victoria Falls, there are often one or more deaths a year
associated with them.
.
They almost always involve two things not DIRECTLY associated with the falls themselves.
.
A combination of drinking and rock-climbing by inexperienced, if not NONexperienced climbers.
.
.
.
I recommend these falls to everyone I know. They're beautiful and their pools are fun (though
FRIGID -- when the water is running, except for after rainstorms, it's virtually all snowmelt
from the surrounding mountains).
.
.
.
7 Falls (and Victoria Falls) don't kill someone every year. People who don't respect 7 Falls
(or Victoria Falls) kill "someone" every year. The combination of drinking and rock-climbing
fatalities is a sadly all-too-common one here -- but often (usually?) there are no falls involved.

At least my wife. The rest would just be eye candy, but when you're having sex, that isn't bad. "Oh Mr. GREENfield!"

It looks like a beautiful place. I would probably be tempted to swim, but I'm sure I would chicken out at the last minute.
