Social Security Payments to Go Out Earlier Than Usual

Got my Wednesday direct deposit today to my surprise.

".Changes are made to the Social Security schedule when the usual payment date either falls on a weekend or a national holiday. This week, recipients who were due to be paid on Wednesday will instead be paid a day before, on Tuesday, due to the Juneteenth national holiday on June 19"

2. I got mine last Friday

My bank makes the deposit as soon as the government makes it available, typically two days earlier than the actual date. It went in another day earlier this month due to the Juneteenth holiday. Just a real nice surprise for the weekend.

3. My payment is supposed to be

'on or about the third Wednesday of the month'. Well, it always drops the Monday prior to the third Wednesday, unless the Credit Union is closed. Mine showed up Friday too. I wasn't aware anyone got a scheduled payment on a specific date of the month anymore, that could land on a weekend.

8. Same here. Recently they've been deposited on Sat. (before the 3rd wed),

but it was last Fri. for me also... and I didn't know the reason, so thank you for that.

I'm new to the Social Security party....I thought my actual retirement date was 3/1/24 but they said they owed me for February as well. I'm going by when I turned 66 1/2.

I received an accruement of three months in one lump sum in May (Yea! ).

My "due date" is the fourth Wednesday of the month. So......... I'll be expecting mine a week from tomorrow (6/26).
