I got a haircut yesterday morning and decided to get a sausage McMuffin $2.75. My wife likes just a sausage muffin WITH a slice of tomato. We didnt have any slicing tomatoes at home and yes a grocery store was right there but I needed to get home and get some stuff done. I thought Id surprise her. I did.
Sausage muffin $2.10
Slice of tomato __ cents

(55,334 posts)If special orders really don't upset them, then why would they begrudge you a free slice of 'mater?

(27,791 posts)Its been awhile since eating at McD, but I remember that tomato on a menu item that didnt come with it already was extra. Im counting inflation and variation based on region. IDK if its ever left to the discretion of the franchisee.

(27,791 posts)Sad when they charge so much for so little. Things have changed since you could get a tiny, nutritious morsel - sometimes just by asking. Gratis!
