2. Yes it did. The '83 El Macambo show was a killer too.

Voodoo Chile at 8:00 is one of the most stirring performances I've ever heard. Stevie just let it all go on that one. Texas Flood at 25:30 is amazing too. Hell, the whole damn show kicked ass.

I would have posted sooner, but I hit play and went into a blues coma for an hour or so.

6. I was turning people on to MISTER Stevie Ray Vaughan way back in the early 80's, before he was

even popular or getting much air time from Texas Flood. I wore out 3 cassettes of "Couldn't Stand The Weather", not counting the few that I gave to friends who became hooked.... Tin Pan Alley, to me, was one of the best songs on there.

This is *THE BEST* birthday present I've ever gotten... it's a *pencil* drawing dated 1998, and it hangs on my bedroom wall:




The Master of the Stratocaster, he brought the Blues back to mainstream in the era of the big hair bands and the beginning of the "gangsta rap" era..
