Will had a thing about sweat and sweating. In a quote (I think from The Comedy Of Errors), a rather distastful woman is describes thus:
"She sweats. A man may go overshoes in the grime of it!"
Yecch!

(149,588 posts)Well, maybe you were late posting this, but I was later getting in my response!
And of course, this is wonderful. Honestly, I don't know how you manage this. These great pictures and matching quotes...Amazing!
Obviously, you and Will go waaaaaaaaaaaay back!

(66,316 posts)A Warwickshire bumpkin with a dazzling brain, but no street smarts. He used to hang around James Burbage's The Theatre holding a sign: "Will rite fonnetf for Food"
Then he started mooning around that rich pretty-boy Henry Wriothsley, who gave Will access to his library, and, rumor has it, access to more than that...
Well, he got his fifty pounds to buy his partnership in The Globe from somewhere...

(66,316 posts)He started writing sonnets about her, for Pete's sake!
I took a look at them when the Earl of Southampton was preparing them for publication. I remember saying "Will! Dude! Her? Really?"
I think she was his inspiration for Lady Macbeth. Or one of the Weird Sisters, maybe...

(28,941 posts)the crappy bit parts Burbage threw his way to shut him up ... that hurt. "I am not a player! I am a fonnet riter!"

(66,316 posts)Aristus, you're on a roll this weekend.
On the other, Will gave Rick the seduction of Lady Ann scene. A lot of players go their whole lives and never do anything that delish.
