I'd never heard of this site, but they had a special on BBC America that was hysterical. Wil Wheaton was one of the guests - and a past roommate of the head Nerdist, Chris Hardwick. Nathan Fillion was also there.

So I check out the web site and what is the first thing on the front page:

Steven Tyler, Alice Cooper, Weird Al singing Come Together:

I may have to hang out at that site or at least check it out regularly!

What spurred me on was a show on a new channel Mrs. WCGreen was watching as I came aware from a long nap on the couch..

It was 100 ways to travel without using a car...

By horseback. But it's not terribly practical these days since most horses require a pretty extensive support network.

The Nerdist site is kind of cool and for a bunch of young guys (young enough to be my little sister's children) they are a great bunch. I enjoyed the show that was on BBC America and now wish I had DVRed it.

The funniest bit was when Chris, the host, gave Wil Wheaton a Christmas present - an oven mitt that looked like a walrus. It seems that oven mitt served in lieu of a Christmas tree angel one year, with an added halo and wings. In return, Wil reached into his pocket, dug around and pulled out a 12 sided die as a present for Chris. The other guys on set suggested that Chris roll it to see how good of a present it was. It came up a 2 and everybody made sad noises.

As the wife of a D&D player of many decades, I could enjoy the joke.
