Fans of WSTFTD, there will be an edition posted tomorrow. If you have tears, prepare to shed them.

I considered passing over the horrible events of Newtown, CT as a subject for the feature; especially since the original intent of WSTFTD was humorous. (It has varied from funny, to cynical, to bitter, to tragic over the years; a lot like Will's plays.) But I found one that I want to share. It will be posted with respect for the heroism, and mourning for the loss, of the victims.

See you tomorrow morning...

4. William Shakespeare's Thought For The Day.

It's a weekly feature I post in the Lounge every Saturday morning. I choose a photo of some kind relating to some aspect of current events, and then add a quote from one of William Shakespeare's plays, narrative poems, or sonnets that is in some way an appropriate comment on the subject of the photo. I started it back in 2006, and until 2009 or so, it was a daily feature. It was extremely labor-intensive to research a quote and find an appropriate subject every weekday, so after a sabbatical, I made it a weekly feature.

The very first WSTFTD was a photo of the U.S. Capitol building with Mercutio's line "A plague o' both your houses!" from Romeo And Juliet.

I've had a lot of fun with it, and past editions are in my journal if you want to look at them.

I was unable to post an edition last weekend. I was too broken up by the loss of those children...

6. You are in for a treat!

There are two things that make the weekend "The Weekend" in the Lounge! First is WSTFTD, the second is LOLCats on Sunday.
WooHoo! The weekend is here!

5. I'll be looking for it Aristus

I know WSTFTD will be timely, as usual and even though many don't post, I know they are reading and reflecting.

9. I expect it to be a good one, although nowhere near

an appropriate memoriam for the magnitude of this tragedy...

7. I was having some thought time with this to.

It was a hard time deciding what direction to take Fido Friday. I struggled all week with it. I was afraid that I would make a mess of it. So I passed it. SCE was able to do it with class, and I know you can too. As for me, I didn't want to take the chance. They deserve better that what I can do. I'll let the maestros of the heart do it, that way it will be tasteful.
