Leonard Cohen coming to U.S. this spring!!!

I have one item on my bucket list, and it looks like I will be able to cross it off after March 28th. Leonard Cohen has just announced his United States leg of his North America tour.

I am so excited I can't even think!!!

Now to be sitting at my computer on January 18th, the second the tickets go on sale.

He does an incredible show. I adore him but was blown away by his agility and commitment to a great performance. It was one of the greatest concerts I have ever been to. The quality of his band is exceptional. He was on stage about three hours and was all over the stage the entire time.

Definitely Do Not Miss

You could see he experienced great joy with the audience. He certainly is spry for his age. He skipped across the stage repeatedly and was up and down off his knees quite a bit. I was shocked at the physicality of his performance. His voice is still holding up as well. You are going to have such a fabulous time....And the music....of course is transcendent.

In November, I was in the UK when he was playing anywhere driving distance from me. I thought about going all the way to New York to see him last month, but was too busy with other shit. I'm on my way back to Europe tomorrow for at least five months, and was panicking a bit that I'd miss him again, but the new dates include some in Europe as well! That's a relief. I (finally) just got his latest album, and it's fantastic - his best since the 70's, I think.
