just drooling....and sometimes crying a little - I once saw a 68 Camaro go for over $50,000. It was nearly the same as my 68 Firebird that I totaled when I was a teenager. If only I had been as smart as I thought I was back then....lol

Whoa! This bad boy is getting into Chitty Chitty Bang Bang territory!

50K for the auction Camaro. I bought my firebird body for $250 and the engine for another 250 and invested 2 summers of sanding and painting and fixing before wrecking it foolishly. That woulda been an helluvva return on investment.

For quite a while, I've been referring to it as my "You go NOW!!!" pill.

I remember when those cars came out. They were so inexpensive, they were kinda marketed
as the modern-day Volkswagen -- a "People's Car".

The Trabant.

Car designed by East German communist committee.

Two-stroke cast-iron engine and body made of cotton wastes glued together with resin.
And that's it's good points.

Maybe they should have run this factory footage, demonstrating assembly using only the finest East German rubber mallets, sneakers, and, um, wood blocks.

pissing my pants in less than a second. Don't mean to threadjack. The cars are beautiful. I'm partial to muscle cars myself. I had a mint '73 Grand Prix that I just loved, and wish I had kept...it was mint. 400 engine and a 4 bbl carb. It was like riding in a very fast living room!
