Damn. Just found out my friend's wife passed away.

She was battling cancer, second go round. The chemo was extraordinarily difficult this time.

They were married for over twenty years. She's survived by my friend, their grown son and an early teen daughter. Not much in the way of family around here, so he'll be raising the daughter himself.

Pleas keep the family in your thoughts.

That is awful news...

I'm really sorry for your neighbor and their children. The daughter will need extra care...

I will certainly keep them in my thoughts...

Even if your friend's wife did not have hospice care, they offer counseling to anyone in the community, some free some fee-based/sliding scale.

I have heard only good things about hospice and they are so experienced with caring for people at the end of their life, and their families.

I'll keep your friend and his children in my thoughts.
