I'd prefer to shift my schedule to an earlier bedtime, but it hasn't worked out that way. I tend to be a night-owl, but bed by midnight and read until 1 a.m. would be my preferred schedule.

(12,008 posts)Left to my own devices, sometimes I'll be out all night, or at least until 4am or so, so "middle of the night" would be later than that, I think. However, when waking up for work at 5:15am, 2am was definitely "middle of the night."

(9,974 posts)Which no one ever understands..not even the bosses when they scheduled the department holiday lunch at 2 in the afternoon and it was for "all shifts". Uh-huh...how about scheduling it at 2 am and telling the dayshift people that they are invited to attend...
