I gave blood today, a double red donation.

Some very odd sensations, nearly fainted half way through but made it- they had to lower my head and then I was fine. But when the machine gives you back your plasma and it is at least 20 degrees colder than you are it is really quite odd. Like being air conditioned from the inside out. I have never given blood this way before, always just the standard pint of whole blood. If I ever do this again it will definitely be in the middle of a heat wave when it might still feel weird but in a good way.
