I just ran into a woman who I used to talk to about diets all the time. She had lost a good amount

of weight and I complimented her on that tonight when I saw her. She said yes, thanks. She looked like she wanted to bust something as I walked away from her. I didn't say it in front of anyone else. I feel like I've made the greatest faux pas. hold me

and it is possible her reaction had nothing to do with you, but rather something else on her mind.

It speaks very well to you that this bothers you. I remember a male hairdresser once asking me "when I was due" upon seeing my weight gain. I wasn't pregnant. I let it go with grace, but it was me that was embarrassed. He--not at all.

That's life, I guess.
