Here is my current Mac portable:

If I upgrade to this:

What will I be getting?

I mean the older runs Mac OS 2. No, I mean it just runs Mac OS 2. What's so special about X?

I'm partial to the trackball. So, OK, it's been hard tracking down floppies, but I blame Viagra for that, not a lack of floppy drives.

It may be a little heavy at 16 pounds, but it's the closest thing I've seen to a work out in years. OK, so maybe my arms stretched out a little and they are longer than Michael Phelps.

And what's so great about the color? I mean, I don't look that great in anything but B&W anyway.

It has a sleeker design, but I get the feeling with my new iMac that it cheats on me. It's way too pretty to be used by me. I think it goes out and lets other people "use" it.

The old Mac "Portable" makes me feel like I'm the pretty one in the relationship. We won't get into it here why I need to feel pretty.

Plus, I think if I bring the MBPro home, I'll have to keep an eye on it around the iMac or I might end up with a Mac Mini:

I don't want to take care of that for the 18 years.

Anyone? Bueller?

I've got one. Nice box. It's a shitload faster, but still a Mac. You'll need to network them or get an external (USB) floppy for the new one in order to transfer files.

It's okay. Even though every Mac I've had has still performed to expectations when I've asked it to retire, I've never been disappointed with the new ones. Then again, I've never worried about them cheating on me. Probably because no one else is allowed to touch him without permission.

Albert is my newest addition.

Take that step, you won't regret it. Besides, how the hell do you even play games on that thing?

Sadly, the original hardware won't start anymore (probably bad capacitors, which I can't be bothered to fix) yet it's tiny little computer soul has been reincarnated to a much better world...
