The one in front of me and the one I'll have next. Actually, the best pie I've ever had was a fresh strawberry and banana creme from a local pie shop that only offered that variety for about a week when local berries were in. In general though, I like banana creme the best, but peach ala' mode is right there.

Whenever anyone else speaks of a coconut pie they always seem to be referring to coconut cream, but I like the coconutty custard. I make it (the custard) in a separate glass pie dish and "slip" it into a finished crust and then cover it with whipped cream and toasted coconut. It was my all-time favorite until this last Thanksgiving, when I made a fantastic peanut butter pie with chocolate ganache.

I also love Ina Garten's Pumpkin Banana Mousse Tart as well as cherry tart in an almond crust.

Be still my heart.

Seriously. Your descriptions are making me want something sweet.

Coconut custard is truly underrated.
It would be naked without whipped cream and toasted coconut.

Off the pie topic: how do you feel about banana pudding?

And banana milkshakes. And I forgot to add Key Lime and Dutch Apple with sour cream, nuts and raisins to the pie list.
