Happiness is a choice.

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Find light in the beautiful sea
I choose to be happy

Diamonds - Rihanna

Rihanna told me so.

She's right.

Choose to be happy. It's worth it.

You can trust Bipolar Man on that one, he has used all of his superpowers to fight for the good.

can just choose to be happy.

There are some other mental illnesses that also impede happiness, such as paranoia and some dementia.

It probably works okay for those who are normally stable minded. If you're brain chemistry isn't screwed up, it's probably a lot easier to look on the bright side. But if you think aliens are beaming thoughts into your head telling you to kill yourself for the good of mankind...well, that might be a little more tricky.

Happiness is definitely a choice. There's WAY too much to be miserable about so just focus on the positive!

But it's a lot easier for me to be happy knowing that I lived through a ten year nightmare, survived it, and have been able to make my life the way I want it to be so far without further trouble. It's a lot easier to be happy knowing that the worst days of your life are probably over.
