First problem is they're from Best Buy.

Second problem is they're Monster brand, who are notorious for selling $60 HDMI cables.

Third, they have some stupid rapper's name on them.

All of that together means there are very likely pairs of $60 monitors out there that sound every bit as good.

They're Chinese crap with a crappy "rap artists" name on them.

Sennheiser HD 280 PRO's are what are found in most recording studios these days, and they are $99.00

Calgary.

The pisser: when he visited to get them from me he compared them to my $50.00 Able Planets. He thought mine has better sound quality and were more comfortable.

Stax, Sennheisers, Beyerdyamics, high end Grados - definitely. Serious audiophile music listening is a rarified and costly sport.
