My latest food-fad is a toasted English muffin with about half of an avocado spread on it (no butter) and some sea salt sprinkled on the avocado.

I have had this for breakfast almost every day of the last month and am not even close to being tired of it. So, I guess not so much a snack, but it could be ...
What do you like, if you're craving something between meals?

But really - I don't care for just 'chocolate'. It has to be something incredible, or else I just don't care.

Awesome.
I will smear that on anything but oatmeal and my daughter will eat it right out of the bowl.

Many of the things I love I won't eat anymore because there is no guarantee the animals were treated well and slaughtered humanely.
BUT - if I can get local eggs, or find some of the eggs that are branded as coming from decently-treated hens, I'd be all over that recipe.

(201 posts)backyard chickens. I keep four of the girls and get 2 eggs a day this time of year. I let them run wild and eat whatever though I do feed them to stimulate egg production. I learned this recipe in El Salvador, they told me they add eggs to make to avocado go further, especially in bad years when avocado production is down.
