I don't believe the Jersey Shore's Vinny is really depressed

I think it's a story made up by the producers. I've read people in Twitter saying they cried when Vinny had to leave the house to go see his family because of his homesickness.

I've seen pictures. Not attractive by any stretch of the imagination. And yes, I think you're right about the name. It really doesn't matter.

Instead she has to dress like colorful vomit, and turn herself a burnt sienna

is a crippling sickness. My wife was valedictorian, summa cum laude, and a DI swimmer. Perfection at everything she did. Then she got depression and anxiety (genetic). She just shut down as a person. She couldnt get out of bed and wished for death everyday. If this person on Jersey Shore really did have depression, I think the results would be much different. MTV equating the person being homesick with having depression is really doing a disservice to people who suffer with the disease.

Too many people think it's just people being lazy or feeling sorry for themselves. Or that it isnt reel because there arent visible injuries. This feeds into that stereotype.
