Who was that lame musical guest on SNL last night?

can someone please explain the appeal for me? I don't get it.

1. She has a good video,but that performance was a dud.

She sounded like fingers scraping across a chalk board to me. But I thought it was just me. I was a little surprised to learn most of America thought the same as me last night.

5. what do you mean she's "normally fantastic"- does she have other, better songs?

does she have a bigger range? does she sing on pitch?

Sorry, but I just got home from playing a gig with 4 other incredibly talented female singer/songwriters and seeing this lameness on national TV simply rubbed me the wrong way. I am really trying to understand. A good video and good recordings (hello autotune) do not a great artist make.

8. Never heard of her, but watched the SNL vid and liked it, even tho it was raw

Then I watched her vid. Interesting voice. Interesting woman. I like her.
