I know of only three songs to rival it for the absolute nadir of music ever heard on a radio.

8. I Hate To Even Call The Sounds To Mind, Ma'am

'The Night Chicago Died' by Paper Lace

'Honey' by Bobby Goldsboro

'Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Old Oak Tree' by Tony Orlando

If you will forgive me, just to get the taste out of my mouth and get something else in my mind....

44. Yeah! I hadn't heard Deville till recently but he's got some great stuff.

Here's a tune he co-wrote with Doc Pomus ("Save the Last Dance for Me" et. al.):

The Ramones, though, were maybe the greatest pure rock'n'roll band ever, for their first couple albums at least...

34. I Think So, Ma'am

Though there is nothing in the house today that would receive such a broadcast.

When I was a kid in Indianapolis, there was no rock station; you put a radio up on the sill of a window facing north and fiddled wityh the knob till you had WLS from Chicago....

But when you start out with 'there were plants and birds and rocks and things' for a description, you are clearly dealing with someone so slovenly he cannot even look out of his own eyes....

as I never listened to the stations that played it, I guess.

Y'all have your fun. I'd much rather memorize the words to Kip Addotta's "Wet Dream"

16. IT's a love story, always was and always will be.

and it's one of the greatest lyrics of all time by Hall of Fame songwriter Jimmy Webb.

And in an oddity, the girl involved is Susan Ronstadt, Linda Ronstadt's cousin
and MacArthur Park (singular not with an S) was where they went to eat lunch often

The recipe is a true lost love
Never have it again means to never again find that true love
