Agnani took Van Gogh's expertise with light and ability to suggest movement to new heights, with light and movement. Very good choice of subject to showcase his work.

Vincent's work should stand on it's own.

We should do the work of adding our own interpretation, rather than adding some silly music and animation.

Artists should be furious.

on the other, it's a fun gimmick, and if it gets some people to look at his work, that's a good thing.

That said, I wouldn't show it to my kids, because they should learn to appreciate art for its own sake (and enough of what they encounter in their lives is animated or electronic or gimmicky).

I didn't mind the first few which went from darkness to light. But the ones with the moving figures were cartoonish, IMO. I was expecting to see "Starry Night" with swirling lights in the sky next.

I think kids might enjoy it though.

Of course his work is beautiful, and perhaps the beautiful part altogether. The rest is a trick, but it's interesting.
