I mean it's a horribly-inefficient method to use to break down plastics faster...what at 1TeV/minute or so, you'd only have to burn a few-thousand gallons of oil to produce enough electricity to get rid of a ton of plastic bags. But it could be done.

It'd be more efficient to build rockets and launch them into the space, I suspect.

will inevitably suffocate space whales

Feed the bags to HAARP. Let it make music with them

we can make tiny particle accelerators that attach to dog butts to decompose the poop and we'll sell them on TV .

No more plastic bags or dog poop but the time/space fabric has been torn and Reagan is president

Try it with wax. Outside. The author of the instructables article must not be as sensitive to fumes as I am.

Don't burn yourself. Turkey fryer dangerous, etc., etc..

Fire decomposes plastic too...

In Sweden and quite a few other nations they make heat and electricity out of garbage.
