It has been almost two decades and I can still hear those horrific screams and cries. It seemed like it took forever to free that child and his (undoubtedly badly mangled) foot--even though help was immediate. The entire time shoppers were transfixed and all in tears. I can still tear up thinking about it.

Damn, parents... Watch those kids around escalators. They are incredibly dangerous. And, that guy is a real mensch. Whew, what a catch.
