Our 'children' are now in their 40s and still don't want to hear any advice or suggestions from us.
They don't understand why we don't have an iPhone and an iPad and why we aren't on facebook.

They eat home delivered food far more than we do, but it's because they have 'busy lives', what with working and taking the kids to soccer and lacrosse and ballet and gym and karate.

On the other hand, we no longer have just a 'family doctor'.
We have a whole slew of 'specialists' for medical conditions we never thought about or thought we'd have.

It's a far, far different life than we grew up with, and we just have to learn to adjust and accept and live with it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again here...
Gittin' old ain't for sissies.
But yes, so far, it still beats the alternative.

When I saw that crowd, I could not, in my worst and wildest nightmare, imagine attending something like that.
