There were a lot of nonsense songs from that era:

"Purple People Eater"
"Monster Mash"
"Short Shorts"

And probably a million more that I have thankfully blocked out. LOL

.
.
.

Still play this one on my 12 string . . .

I'm a Nut, I'm a Nut,
My life don't ever get in a rut
Well Hell, my shoulders are sore and loose
That I ain't got the sense God gave a goose
Now Lord I ain't crazy but, I'm a nut

Is it wetter underwater if you're there when it rains
Is it shorter to New York, than it is by plane
Between myself and I, I wonder who's the dumber
Is it hotter down south than it is in the Summer
Bee ba ba de bop etc.

Sadly this seems to happen a lot to some of the entertainers I used to like, and it really does affect how I feel about them enough to keep me from watching them, or in this case, listening to them. Thanks for the update

54. "Paralyzed" by the Legendary Stardust Cowboy

Jun 2013

From his Wikipedia page...

"While sometimes considered a novelty artist, he regards himself a serious performer..."

"He recorded "Paralyzed" in 1968 in what was apparently a moment of spare time in a recording studio in Fort Worth, Texas. He played dobro and bugle, while T-Bone Burnett played drums. The track features unintelligible snarls, growls, and similar vocalisms, surrounded by frantic strumming on acoustic guitar, Burnett's equally frantic drumming, and occasional yelps of the song's title, "Paralyzed!" The exact words that are uttered change with each performance, and are occasionally somewhat intelligible..."

Wikipedia:
""Swinging the Alphabet" is a novelty song sung by The Three Stooges in their 1938 film, Violent Is the Word for Curly. It is the only full-length song performed by the Stooges in their short films, and the only time they mimed to their own pre-recorded soundtrack.

In 2005, film historian Richard Finegan identified the composer of the song as Septimus Winner (1827-1902), who had originally published it in 1875 as "The Spelling Bee"."
