And then, instead of ordering a $3 cup like normal people, they see how much stuff they can cram into it and jack up the cost of their 'free' cup. I don't know if these rumors are true, but having worked in retail, I know the degree to which some people will go to abuse offers of free stuff.

Sure hope that was the cause for the outrageous bill.
I would have questioned that kind of price tag.
Unless it was a situation of more money than brains.
