I figure it's a good week. I show my solidarity for the proletariat by wearing red and not doing much on May Day, then Thursday I quit work early to have cake with my work spouse, then Friday is Friday and I never do shit on Friday before leaving for the day by 3PM so I can shower and change before happy hour.

If you time it right, you can get Cinco de Mayo into the same week and that's Margaritas and Mexican for lunch day. It becomes a fun work week with maybe one day of actual work in there. May Day should be in a fun work week since the boss man puts the screws to us. (Multiply self-employed.)

No, really...I think that giving employees one easy work-week like this close to mid-year does a lot for morale. It makes it fun to come to work...I think too many people have miserable workspaces with asshole bosses. I never want to be that boss in that workspace.

...are pretty good friends.
I think as long as it's not either of their birthdays, it's all good.
