people forget what a cool paly on words that was. their talent and success overwhelmed the cleverness of the name.

I always thought Insane Clown Posse was a great band name. Hate that stuff they actually do, though.

George Corpsegrinder Fisher whips his hair

(Either my phone or G+ created this gif from a series of pics I took at the show! Had no idea it could or would do that)

Other bands I like with funny names:
Circle of Dead Children
Pungent Stench
Fuck...I'm Dead
Wolves In The Throne Room

but that Kathleen Turner Overdrive is cracking me up. I hope they are good.

called Nailshitter. Saw them quite a few times as they got on local bills of national tours coming through. I regret that I didn't get a t-shirt while I could. It's been a few years since I heard anything about them so I don't know if they are split up or what...

oh hey - the wonder of the intertubes:

I saw them on their Beneath The Remains tour but didn't hear much from them after that other than their cover of Motörhead's Orgasmatron...But I like when metal bands mix in their local flavor like Native American grind band Resistant Culture and Middle Eastern band Melechesh or Vedic metal band Rudra...It always an interesting change of pace from chugga chugga growl....

I haven't heard anything they've done since Max and Igor left.

I was never a big fan but like you said, the combination of the native noise and metal was just awesome...I'm just really starting to discover some of their older stuff...back in those days I was into stuff like MOD/SOD, ramones or corrosion of conformity....I fell into grunge in the 90's and bands like Tool later, but my tastes range from Bach to Sarah McLachlan to zeppelin to Frankie goes to Hollywood....I'm pretty eclectic !
