12. An interesting situation...

As a Patriots fan, I do believe he stole the ring, although I'm having trouble feeling terribly sorry for Robert Kraft, seeing as he has money enough to buy a whole shitload of those rings. OK, the sentiment wouldn't be the same, but still...

Anyway, this reminds me of something that happened a long time ago. Second husband worked for a while installing flooring, and one day he was working at the home of a wealthy lady in a frou-frou community in CT. She was into African violets, which I was raising at the time. She was very nice to him and invited him (and me) to go visit her sometime. Which we did.

I brought along one of my favorite African violets to show her...not as a gift.

She mistook the gesture and thought I was actually giving it to her.

sigh...what can you gracefully say at that point?

right...nothing.

So we visited and I sadly left my baby behind, and resolved never again to bring something to anyone's house unless I fully intended to give it away.
