Pictures of the New Kitten

Ok, now I believe she's a she...very affectionate, but out of the cage she's still a terror, trying to jump and escape, she needs a few more days of that because she is getting better, but it's going to take a while. I think I have someone who will put her into an adoption program this weekend. She doesn't look happy in the 3rd photo, but that was the only one I could get of her face, because as soon as she 's free, she doesn't sit still...as you can see in photo 2, she's got a nice, vocal mouth!

Have you named her? Best of luck in finding her a home.

How did you get her? I've missed previous thread(s).

ran back into the cliffs, then came back and was oblivious to me, so I just picked her up!

But you're right. We do what we can.

When we first moved into our house in (what WAS) semi-rural Southern Maryland, there were a few ferals around. We did what we could with TNR and trying to get various litters adopted. (We wound up with ten cats ourselves, including one entire litter of four. We've since learned to say “no.”) It’s been a long time now since I’ve seen a feral or even a stray cat.

(I made one really big mistake when trapping cats. One night I trapped a feral I’d named Ringtail. She was not my target that night, so I let her go. Stupid, stupid, stupid! She went on to have at least one more litter.)

They think nothing of letting their UNFIXED cat roam all over the place.

In fact one of the regrets I have is not recording the long and loud meow as it would make a badass ringtone.

I'm on the road too much to have kitties now

I would be in danger of becoming a cat hoarder. She is precious and I could just smush her little face with kisses in that last picture. Then she would look even unhappier.
