But she does have a nice voice. Does most current Japanese pop have that Americanized sound to it? (I assume it's Japanese. Forgive me if I got it wrong.)

And yes, Japan's artists have always enjoyed listening to and singing in a Western style manner. You didn't really think Japanese only preformed traditional music, did you?

aside from the language being sung in.
But as an American, I'm proud that one of our most widely accepted exports is American music. I wish we had more exports that were as beneficial and peaceful.

Japanese music ranges from traditional, to Jpop, Jrock, Visuel Kei, and covers the entire musical spectrum. One of my favorite kinds is called Ska Music. Here are a few examples;
