And another med I want to be off of in the next year.

My medicine cabinet looks like a pharmacy.

I was on the edge and suicidal. I didn't want to feel anything. And I've been like that for too long. Time to make the change.

Fortunately I have a strong safety net and my dark place isn't suicidal.

Nevertheless, good luck to you.

I know it won't be easy. But I feel nothing like the person I was when I was suicidally depressed 4 years ago.

and Risperdal for about 6 months. Neither did a whole lot for me, the Zoloft did seemingly make me feel better for a few months, but that may have been simply my optimism RE: starting college. I can't prove it, but I'm pretty convinced that the Zoloft did fuck with my head in unpleasant ways - I've never been as seriously suicidal as I was, at a couple points, while taking that stuff. And I've heard that that actually isn't an uncommon side effect. Hence why I no longer trust psychiatric meds as a whole and have refused to take them for nearly a decade now.

Good luck to you though. Sounds like you know what you're doing.
