7. Count to 10, then count again.
It takes practice.
For example: I'll have a reply ready to post but I'll fix another cup of coffee before completing it, read it over again, hit back button, go on with the rest of my day/night. Or sometimes, I'll just leave the window open and do something else for a few minutes. That brief cool down time can save a lot of embarrassing egg on my face. My family taught me: "Never fight in public. What will the neighbors think." It stuck ... except it's not what the neighbors think that I care about. It's the way I feel when I face myself in the mirror. That's what really matters. |
