Last year I was watching the Chile mine rescue.

Other then seeing one of the Chile miners on David Letterman, I haven't heard any more. I saw the rescue live with a friend. The guy on tv was funny. He loved Elvis, and sang and danced to a song of Elvis. I think they are probabley in therapy somewhere.

I read it. So sorry for those miners. At least they are alive. I knew they couldn't be okay, even though I heard different. I hope all of them well. An amazing rescue, I thank everyone involved, and the media, so I could see.

Like you, I kept up with their story during the time they were trapped, and anxiously watched as each one was lifted to safety, breathing a sigh of relief as each one emerged. I also remember feeling SO PROUD that humanity has members like the guy who was the first one to go down the shaft to get to the miners. What courage!!!

Like you, as well, I hope that things turn around for them and their quality of life improves.

But I didn't know if whoever reads this would feel like sitting through the whole thing, though it is extremely entertaining...

And the translator was also an important part of the act. This has got to be one of Dave's favorite interviews ever!
