Replace Tommy with Jeff Bridges, Smith with Ryan Reynolds, aliens with undead. Throw some money at the marketing team, boom next summer shlock buster.

I guess it wasn't so bad.

1 - They are disguised heavily. The older guy looks like a Super Model, the younger guy looks like an Old Chinese guy.

2 - R.I.P.D. has Kevin Bacon, which makes it ground zero in the Bacon Meter.

3 - More necrophilia jokes.

4 - Rookie got in to the job as penance. He didn't try out for it.

5 - Jeff Bridges being able to spout out a feminist line saying that he is not a piece of meat was funny.

I watched it for free with my free movie ticket from Regal.
I'm watching the Wolverine this weekend.

I'm a comic book movie fan but the last few X-men films and spin offs have been lacklustre. Though X-men first class was well done.

I think it is a win win just for that.

I wonder if it is the Patch story line.

The story line revolves around Logan going to Japan after the death of Jean because he's heart broken. There he looses his healing powers through certain events. The Japan background to Wolverines character has been fleshed out in the comics and animated series but not in films up to this point.
