(11,065 posts)That little curl left at the top of a soft icecream cone. Don't recall the word ever used to describe something other than that. I can remember that word waaaay back when I was a wee kid.
Come to think of it, I don't even think I've had soft icecream since I was a teenager. These days I have no idea if it's sold anywhere except on the boardwalk at the shore in the summer. I can't think of a single Diary Queen that's still around these parts. Last I one remember that was still open had closed a couplfe of decades ago. Does Dairy Queen still exist? Seems like there's nothing but water ice places around these days, but I've never been fond of water ice, and it's totally different than soft icecream.
Maybe it came from a really old Dairy Queen commercial or something? I always thought that it was just a made up word among our family and friends.
