Nine inches of snow (so far), below zero wind chill, the governor and mayor telling us to stay inside, my office is closed... what's not to like? Going back to bed now.

Offices are closed! Schools are closed.

The LIRR trains are running on a weekend schedule. The subway has suspended express service, only local service available.
And the snow is still falling.

5. I think the college where I work

is the only school "open" in the eastern half of Massachusetts--and there aren't even any students here.

First it was a two-hour delay, but then they called a cancellation. It's beautiful and sunny now, but very cold.

Three day weekend!

that only got a delayed (11:00 a.m.) opening. Too bad for them.
