British woman finds $30K engagement ring diamond after 3 days of searching dog poop
Jan. 8 (UPI) -- A British woman had to do some dirty work to recover a $30K engagement ring diamond that her dog swallowed, but she finally got it back after three days of searching through his poop.
Angie Collins, 51, left the engagement ring out on a table and went to sleep. When she woke up, the ring was still there but the pricey diamond was missing. Her German Shepherd, Jack, had chomped on the ring and swallowed the stone.
"The next morning Jack was just lying on his back. The sun was reflecting off the jewelry and I think it must have been winking at him,” Collins said. "He's an inquisitive dog so I guessed that he'd taken a look. The ring was totally mangled so it seemed pretty obvious he'd spat it out and eaten the diamond."

"On Christmas Day I had three poops to deal with and it was in the third poop,” Collins said. "I had almost given up, so it was the last shot. There it was, glinting in the sun."
