'No Pants Subway Ride Day' Celebrated Worldwide

By Michael Allen, Sun, January 12, 2014

... This unusual holiday started in New York City in 2002 and has spread around the globe to cities such as Sydney, Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Paris and Berlin ...

... Australia groups were instructed how to respond to passengers who ask about their lack of pants on Facebook: “If questioned, you do not know any of the other pant-less riders. Tell folks that you 'forgot to wear pants.' Insist that it is a coincidence that others also forgot their trousers. Be nice, friendly and remain calm" ...

In the US, people dropped their pants in subways in Boston, New York, Chicago and San Francisco

"
Vancouver’s fifth annual No Pants SkyTrain Ride elicited the usual gasps and giggles from passengers, who were treated to a flash-mob style straight-faced shedding of clothes aboard transit.

“Oh my god, you don’t have any pants on,” said a bemused woman who got on at Main Street/Chinatown station, unaware of the choreographed event organized by Vancouver Improv Anywhere.

Most passengers tried to maintain a straight face, avoiding eye contact. Others whipped out their cellphones and began snapping photos.

Because if we did I would SO participate in this! On second thought, do you suppose this would work in the sandwich shop?
