Just all of a sudden today it hit me...

I'm tired of reading and hearing Christy Christy Christy.

Even up until yesterday I was still curious and eagerly soaking in the follow ups.

Then suddenly today... Total saturation. Bleh! No more, please!

So I have to wonder whether there is a natural shelf life on political calamities, or on the fascination with the media generated buzz? Or maybe the mind numbing repetitiveness until new facts emerge?

Either way, I'm done.

And I'm sick to death of it too, although I have to admit if they subpoena him I'm going to smile, smile, smile.

Pick a story, really any story. The true importance of the story matters little, what really maters is if it has the power to draw good ratings, or can be spun in such a way that it can. A good way to spin a story so it draws the attention you want is to use tools from the FUD toolchest.

Once you have a captive audience run the story 24/7. Make sure it's always "breaking news" even if there are no new details for days. Keep up a sense of urgency and exaggerated importance, doesn't matter how important or urgent the story really is.

Saturate the airwaves with the story. Cram it down the throats of viewers till they feel nauseated and want to vomit. When ratings begin to drop look for another story. Rinse and repeat.
