hey Austin DUers....
I had a corporate account (I own a tech biz) with Marriott towne place suites. I was getting $89 nightly rates for the suites but they cancelled my corporate discount because I didn't book enough nights in 2013.
Anyone know of a decent hotel in north Austin close to the Arboretum where I can get a corporate discount? Suites are preferred to regular rooms because I end up spending a lot of time in the room working. Must be a clean place with no bedbugs. I've checked a few extended stay places up there but no matter how nice they look on their website, they always seem to have shady-looking long term clientele and bugs.

Check it out-!
My friend, an IT gal from Los Angeles and her SO took a trip to Europe where they stayed entirely at Airbnb places she had booked on the internet, and they loved it.
My son stayed in an artist's Airbnb loft for a night when he was not quite 18, because the hotel near where he was taking the train home after a summer course said patrons had to be 18 or over. He liked it, too.

(6,527 posts)TownePlace Suites is fairly convenient and has "suites" - haven't personally stayed there. I usually go and stay with family. Anything out that far North is pretty new and clean - (not to say it won't have bedbugs....) I have stayed down on the river but that can get pricey fast and also gotten a cheapie over at Hotel Allendale several times. The Allendale is getting pretty long in the tooth, tho.
