Haven't heard this tune for at least 20 years. One of my favorite feel-good tunes

I'm from the south, so keep that in mind, even if it's by a French-Algerian guitar picker. Marcel Dadi perished in the TWA flight that exploded above the Atlantic over a decade ago. I saw him live about 25 years ago in Paris with Chet Atkins. Banjo virtuoso Bill Keith overdubbed the harmony banjo track on this (hence the name of the tune "Billy the Keith&quot , and the effect is mesmerizing.

It was from an album* that was recorded in Nashville in the late seventies or early eighties, but, as far as I know, only released in France, or only very limited in other countries. I lent it to my brother in law for a while, and then when he died, it disappeared. His wife never liked that kind of music (they were both German). My brother here in the States looked for it on cassette and CD but never found it. Someone with the vinyl had the good graces to put it on Youtube, he found it, and so back to life it roars.

Here is a quick video of a much older Dadi (must have been not long before he took that fatal plane ride) explaining how he played it. It's in French with Italian subtitles, so for guitar enthusiasts (of which I am one), I hope you understand either French or Italian (I do, and I still can't play it!).

If you're lucky and spot it somewhere, it's called "Dadi's Picking Lights Up Nashville"
