If our daughter has genes like my wife, she'll look just fine 29 years from now.
I won't.

(10,624 posts)And just based on your posts, and the fact that you are her father, I'll bet that daughter is even more beautiful on the inside than she is on the outside.

(54,358 posts)And I was supposed to look distinguished for that gig! The last time I rented out duds like that was for Gridiron when Clinton was President.
This was some $1500 a person benefit for some foundation I have long since forgotten. I was going to be in NY that day anyhow, and the benefit concert was Eric Clapton and Wynton Marsalis together (and that was some kind of set!!). But there were four of us, and four times $1500 was out of my league.
However, the organizer was a friend of my sister's, and it was not a sellout, so my sister was offered four seats at $50. Now THAT was a game changer, so I said I was in, and since my daughter lives in New York, the four of us (with my BIL) were there. Even the janitors looked distinguished that night, but we were all peasants when Clapton let loose, because when he is doing a solo, there is only one royalty in the room, and that is old Slowhand.
