Although last year we had a very cold spring and we had snow well into April. I umpire softball and all the leagues had to start 2 to 3 weeks later than normal.

I love to fish for brook trout in streams and rivers... There have been years where I had to jump over snowbanks to get to the stream. The first day of trout season in Michigan is the last Saturday in April.

The end of February is going out with bitter cold... tonight the inland areas may reach minus 30 below zero in Marquette county where I live.

brrr..

Fishing, Hiking and camping out in the wilderness are my 3 favorite things to do and being in the U.P. is absolutely a great place to live if you do.
