indeed. But I did had two slices of ginger. That fights intestinal gases. Perhaps there will be a war in my intestines tonight.

eat potatoes made a dozen different ways but not drowned in toppings or sauces. There was a guy somewhere in Western Europe a long time ago who ate nothing but potatoes for a year. At the last he was healthier than before.

He started smoking at age 11 and never stopped. He chained smoked non-filter cigarettes his whole life. He drank...a lot...mostly rye and coke. He ate tons of fatty foods (all the good Ukrainian stuff - perogies, ham sausage, cream sauce, cabbage rolls, with some pork chops slathered in butter & garlic thrown in...) as an adult until he split from my grandmother and he yoyo'd between fat and obese until his last decade when he adopted a steady diet of Dare's cinnamon swirls, except for breakfast and snacks:

He ate garlic and onion sandwiches for breakfast nearly every day (oddly enough, he never smelled bad. I think the cigarette smoke and booze canceled out the garlic and onions). His entire garden was garlic and onions (oh and a bit of dill for his pickles, LOL). He'd snack on raw green onions dipped in salt. He'd eat bulb onions like apples or chew on a raw garlic clove just because.

Despite many health issues due to smoking (reduced circulation that cost him a leg at age 77) he lived, with his mind intact, until age 97. Considering his lifestyle, I'd say he did pretty good.

I can't get past the aftertaste of vegetables in my mouth - blechh.

Cannot imagine drinking cabbage juice even with a bunch of stuff mixed in. I'm sure it is very healthy but I'd rather have a salad.
