Daryl - with all his skills. Daryl who gets morose and angry. I believe Daryl does believe in hope - and it is a source of some of his anger. He gets angry at himself for it and takes it out on others. Especially when something goes wrong. Gets his hopes up and all that. Broken, rotted arrow. Hmm.
Beth - with some skills but not seasoned like Daryl. Though she does know a thing or two. Beth, who still believes in hope.
I just know we're going to lose another main character before season's end. I sometimes think Hershel's zombie head was somewhat a test of whether the viewing audience had adapted to his death. He dies - people are crushed - enough time passes between shows - then they show his head. Why? Michonne could have easily made her way through the grounds without ever seeing it. Did we need to see a last act of respect for Hershel? (ending his zombie head) Did seeing his head as a zombie make him less Hershel, the person, and more walker, less human, more monster? So now we're detached from his death because our last view of him was as a walker? Because another main character death is coming? Terminus - end of the line, an extreme point, a finishing point, boundary marker.
I dunno. Just think we're gonna lose someone else.

There has to be some nasty cold weather.

Wow, lots of death in this place.
Did they really make it to Washington DC? They found a spoon with Washington DC on it.

(6,163 posts)Is it just me or does it seem like they have different writers this season. I also do not care for the abrupt turn about of the characters. It is not so much the fact they have changed...they are not believable changes, to me at least.
This especially goes for Michonne and Darryl. As for Carl, the writers have taken him to a new obnoxious extreme.
Am I the only one out there who hasn't cared for the last few episodes?

(5,604 posts)I preferred her character when she was more feral. But I think I enjoy the characters most when they're at their worst; like Shane shooting Otis, Rick shooting Dave from Boston, or the Governor with a tank as opposed to shit eating grin Governor. Glen had a lot of potential in the 1st season as the quick thinking go-to guy that's been sort of wasted with the Maggie dynamic too.
I can't specifically attribute any real fault to the 4th season though.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)of silent, glowering Michonne. I'm glad they're giving her more lines and more to do besides whip out her katana and kill zombies.

Nothing wrong with a little drink.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)I was surprised that they didn't have the big ending - walker(s) surprises them and bites either Beth or Daryl, or else some band of thugs surround them or whatnot.
However, unless something comes out of the Washington DC spoons or something else, the episode didn't really move the plot forward beyond some reveals about Daryl's past.
texanwitch

There has to be something with the spoon.
