(102,112 posts)Maybe cold and rainy in NOLA, but I still wish I were there... My CO neighbors wonder at my Mardi Gras wreath, Yard flag, and yellow,green and purple lights I have on a potted bush at the front door!
I probably won't even have a drink, but will be living vicariously thinking of the revelers!

(55,002 posts)first time ever, since I don't have much experience eating it I have no idea if it came out right, but it was edible (pretty good, really) anyway
with andouille sausage, chicken, shrimp and crab (canned) and okra, even got my roux pretty dark. not as dark as the flour left when frying chicken but my arm was getting tired.
I made jambalaya a couple of years ago and a homemade king cake, but this year I found a recipe using premade sweetroll dough. That didn't come out too good (way too much cinnamon) - not bad, but it just tastes like cinnamon rolls.
