What happened to all those old flash drives ?

When flash drives first came out, they were pretty small by today's standards -- 64MB or so. Shouldn't there be some of those smaller flash drives remaindered/dirt cheap somewhere ? I'd like to be able to buy several and keep them around as "scrap paper", the way I used to use floppies to "sneakernet" data between computers.

When I was looking for some for work (boot stick -- it doesn't even need to be a GB, so sad), all I could find were novelty ones.
