The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsName the band.
Post pics that create the band name.
For example 'Huey Lewis and the News'
You don't have to put pics for 'the' 'and the' or 'and' or 'of' etc.. got a Huey, Lewis Black and a newspaper.
Don't cheat by looking up the url and hoping for a clue in the filename..
Try to use more popular bands/artists.
I'll start with an easy one.

(12,132 posts)My wife won't let me have a throne room like that. Harrumph. Just because our house is barely a thousand square feet is no reason I shouldn't be able to knock everything down and build a throne room!
Tom_Foolery
(4,691 posts)Well, you do have the bathroom with its throne.

(21,046 posts)They went to the same university I did. Except they were there after I graduated.
I have no idea if they're any good or not.
If you can't put it on a lead sheet with chords, time signature and a melody then it doesn't have enough structure to be called music. yeah, I'm really old fashioned. I learned to read music when I was a little kid on the piano.
Don't get me started on destroying vinyl records (scratching) which is sacrilege, and sampling and auto-tune.
rppper
(2,952 posts)I've been watching them since they were playing bars in the Dallas area back in the mid-late 80s...never boring. We are a musically inclined family...It's fun to pound away on my bass...I don't read music but I know my strings, and honestly it's the best form of stress relief IMHO. I'm happy to say my bass playing got my son into the production/mixing side of it. He also writes lyrics, raps and works as a nightclub DJ (his spins are all computer controlled and sampled...no wax destruction or auto tune!)...my brother is a pretty good guitarist, and i have a stepson and nephew who are bassists...stepson can play 5 instruments and compose as well. Very talented young man.
